judges are irremovable. Given the current state of our legal system, do you
deem it necessary to make an amendment to Article 71 of the Constitution of
the Republic of Abkhazia, whereby its first part would read as follows: "Judges
are elected for a period of 5 years. Judges are immune to criminal prosecution,
are independent, and are subordinated only to the provisions of the Constitution
and the Supreme Law of the Republic of Abkhazia"?
